Joe Bonamassa

We were located second row center in the pit and I cannot deny the expense for those seats were beyond worth it. I felt as though we were seriously engaged being up close and personal like we were. Insofar as Joe, he again went above and beyond our expectations. I believe he is the greatest guitarist to ever walk our planet. The backup singers and his band mates were also tops. I have seen many over the years, Led Zeppelin, Doors, Black Sabbath, Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, Frank Zappa, and the list goes on and on but none can compare to the excitement & emotional ride provided by Joe.

Terrible Audio Mix

First of all I have to express my gratitude in having had the ability to watch a true guitar genius at work. I had purchased an electric guitar (Fender Strat) for my granddaughter and decided to take her to hear someone play who might help her to set some of her own performance goals. Mission accomplished. That having been said, we were both dissapointed in the audio mix. The instruments were way too loud in comparison to the vocals for this venue. So much so that the only time we could hear singing/talking from either Joe or the back up vocals was when no instruments were being played. The instruments completely drowned out the vocals. I assume that there were sound checks performed earlier in the day and also there was someone sitting at what appeared to be a mixing board for this performance, which surprised me that this could even be an issue. Since it was his 5th time at this venue, the acoustics should have been resolved a while back.
